Hi! My name is Hailey and I am the blogger behind America My Beautiful.
I have been in love with travel since before I can remember. Growing up I watched Travels in Europe with Rick Steves instead of Saturday morning cartoons, and basically wanted to be Samatha Brown when I grew up.
As a kid someone told me they loved traveling around the USA because all the states were like little countries. Before that I had only really thought of travel as long plane rides to glamorous European destinations or spending a week laying on an exotic tropical beach. Not driving to city a few hours away. That new idea really resonated with me, and then and there I made it my mission to visit each of the 50 states and experience what makes them unique.
Since then I have traveled all over the US in my quest. With just a few left to go (3!) I have embraced the lifestyle of a frequent traveler. I have seen incredible things, made tons of mistakes and learned a lot along the way.
I currently reside in Columbus, Ohio with a Great Dane and 2 cats. If I am not traveling I am busy planning a trip. I love planning almost as much as going. As I am getting close to achieving my goal, I am amazed by the differences in places and cultures that make up this country. This blog is where is share that journey and hopefully inspire you to seek out the abundance of things that make America beautiful.
