We all know airport food is pricy and not generally healthy, which makes it important to travel with at least one snack in your bag! I keep snacks with me at all times, not just in the airport. Here is a round up of my favorites.
- Giant Peruvian Inca Corn– From Trader Joe’s, these toasted corn kernels are super crunchy and a little salty. Maybe not the healthiest item on the list, but they are a delicious alternative to fatty, oily chips.
- Trader Joe’s Dried Fruit Bars– These are like Fruit Roll-Ups for adults. Made from simple fruit purees, it’s easy to carry a few of these in your bag.
- That’s It Bar– These bars are gluten free, vegan and contain 2 servings of fruit. They are more substantial than the Trader Joe’s Fruit Bars, and just as healthy.
- Truffle Marcona Almonds- Ok last Trader Joe’s product! These super flavorful almonds are seasoned with truffle oil, rosemary and sea salt. Thy are definitely not low calorie and more of a treat, but it’s vacation after all!
- Lara Bars – I love Lara Bars for snacks. They are filling, heathy and come in a ton of flavors. They are all natural and made with minimal ingredients. The best part is they are soft, so they don’t get all over like regular granola bars.
- Oloves- These are the cutest single serve bags of olives! Plain or seasoned they are only 50 calories each. They are perfect when you need just a little something and don’t want anything sweet.
- Rx Bar– Rx Bars are all-natural protein bars with no added sugar. I can eat one for breakfast and they fill me up. Perfect for when you are in a hurry to get somewhere and don’t have time to stop. Skipping a meal is never a good idea!
